My question is, is this possible? And if so, how would I go about doing this procedure? I love the stock tail lights and would not like to go aftermarket as most I do not like.

Just put a led bulb in there. Led flasher and it should be good. That's what I have in mine 93. And Led reverse lights

Can I buy an LED flasher at O'Reilly's or Advance Auto Parts?

What color would I use? Just the white or red for the turn signal and brake? I should be able to figure out the part number of the bulbs.

Mine has LEDs. I stuck replacements in and used an led flasher from O'Reilly. I think it was an EP36 for the led flasher.

I wanna say $15. It wasn't too bad IMO. I just don't remember the exact dollar.

Thank you for all the help guys!

I did find the Flasher module and boy is it easy! It's the one by the chime module under the driver's side dash correct?

But that is cheap! I will have to start checking into some LEDs for my tail lights! Hopefully it will make my truck safer. Are they brighter than halogens in the stock tail lights or is there no difference?

If you're using the factory tail lights with the circuit boards, you're going to need special LEDs for the middle sockets. They're called SRCK LEDs.

Old thread for reference:

Link to buy some SRCK LEDs from SBLEDs:

Thanks for pointing this out. I'm not exactly sure of the problem he was having you mind explaining it? I'm using the APC all clear tails with the stock circuit board so I'm curious if I also have a problem. Im just using whatever Silvania LEDs O'Reilly had that were red.
