I have finally got my budget done to redo my 1988 chevy c1500. When i bought it, it was sanded down and then covered in green primer. I want to plasti dip it because i don't want a gloss paint and i like how plasti dip looks on vehicles. Any good pics of a plasti dipped obs chevy/gmc? Please and thank you.

just pick the color you like and do it. do you plan the use the spray bombs or gun? there is a clear coat, called glossifier UV coat, also that will make it last a little longer.

Here's a screenshot of one posted on Instagram the other day. I like the color but if you look down the side it looks kind of splotchy. I think that's a result of using spray paint.

Ideas for plastidip? Leave it at Home Depot!

Head to your local paint store and pick up a single stage paint and have them dull it down to the look that you want. It runs about $50 a gallon here locally.

I'm going to give Raptor Liner a shot. Being tintable, I think I can get it close to the factory light blue.

Plastidip is not a bad idea but it is not a permanent solution. Doing the single stage paint is fine as long as you prep the surface really well.
