Ok. I will give that a try. What's the reasoning for the corvette servo? And what year will work?
Same year as your trans will work. Firmer shifts between 2-3 clutches which is where the 4l60e fails. Firmer shift equal less clutch slippage. Per GM truck forum : "The purpose of the vette servo mod is to allow the transmission to shift more quickly and efficiently from first to second gear. From the factory, the truck 4L60e's have a smaller servo. The servo is used to apply the 2-4 band in the transmission. Upgrading to the vette servo gives the trans more "holding" power and thus yields a quicker/firmer shift. Adding a vette servo has also seemed to cause some folks 1-2 slipping to cease."

So I went to my GM store, and looked up the servo for a 99 vette. It was the same part number for the servos in my yukon. Am I confused about something?

You may have to do more research. I bought mine from a transmission parts store. Maybe aftermarket is made better? I do notice the firmer shifts on my '97 trans mated to my '02 LM7 5.3.

Awesome. Thanks, man. I'll check out transgo and see if they have something. I'm sure just replacing the old worn out servos in my trans now couldn't hurt either. Even if I just use stock ones. And doing a service may help also. The fluid in it now seems clean, but who knows the last time it was changed. I'm hoping just a little TLC will wake it back up, and make it more reliable. I bought the yukon because we love camping and being in the mountains, but with the way the trans has been acting, it's prevented me from taking it too far into the mountains yet. Thanks for your help, man. I really appreciate it

nice score

any updates?
No real updates other than I threw on a roof rack, and tossed a full spare up there. I am debating on taking the side steps off, though... Anyone got opinions? Think it will look better with or without?

and sure enough, it rained today. Not much, only enough to make it look really dirty. Shocker.

Just saw this so late reply abt sidesteps. I personally think it'd look better without them or have em sprayed black

That's what I was thinking, too. Plus, I'm going to body lift it eventually and I'll want to figure out a way to hang them higher when I do, so I can hide the frame a little. So I think I'm going to take them off soon, save up for a body lift and the get the steps powder coated black, and then put them back on. The bad part is that my 5 year old, and my short ass girlfriend already need them to get in amd out. So once it's got a body lift, then I will really need them back on. Ha ha. Otherwise the girlfriend will never want to take it because she won't be able to get in, which means I won't be able to take her 2015 sti to work on occasion. Ha ha. It's a fun little car!

won't those wheels polish up? If so, that might be another option. Then the bumpers, wheels, and nerf bars would kind of tie together a little more. Either way nice looking rig.
