looks good. It looks like the tire is hanging and not resting on the bed floor. if so you may want to get a long piece of flat stock to put on the back side of the bed rail bolts to act as a load spreader/fender washer.

May do that eventually. Going to put a couple hooks in the bed and ratchet strap it

Went on a roadtrip back home to haul some stuff up to montana. Hooked my dads truck up to the chevy to see if it would pull it. Did it perfectly.

more pics and info on the spare-tire-in-the-bed mod. anything......

Thanks. Its literrally just a bracket I found in the back of suburban that was used for the spare tire. Flattened the ends out, drilled 2 holes, drilled 2 holes in the bed rail and bolted it that then used a bolt and washer to secure the tire to it

I love the progress, thanks for your service. I had the opportunity to be stationed in Japan with the Army, but never could get the orders nailed down.
