I started using the Schoenfeld long tubes but ended with stock manifolds. The LT's wouldn't let me package cats and a Y-pipe to plug into my Dynomax "cat back". I got a Y off a LS truck and made it work. Little welding, but well worth it. It's quiet and sneaky.

I have a stock 5.3, with stock manifolds. I used about 4" of the OE exhaust off the manifold, for the flanges and O2 bungs. The rest is 2.5 pipe, curved pieces from the scrap bin at an exhaust shop, off a 2010 Camaro. The straight sections are from the parts store. Two Dynomax race bullets.

I love cheapassery when it's executed like this. Like when I fixed the smashed y pipe on my Camaro with nothing but leftover scraps from my pile plus a pie cut or 2.

I have $150 in the entire exhaust. The cheapest quote I got for a full exhaust was $350, and that wasn't me buying the catalytic converters. No inspection in Alabama, so I just did it in my driveway.
