Hello all. I need some input on anyone who has had this problem, and how did you remedy it. A few months back I purchased a 1997 Chevrolet C/1500 extended cab for my son for his 16th birthday. It's in pretty decent shape. There's a very annoying problem with the seats. It has the 60/40 manual bench seat. They do function as designed to gain rear access. They lock back into place. The problem is though, as you're sitting in the drivers seat, you can feel the play (like your sitting in a rocking chair) like a loose floor bolt in the front. It teeters with your weight as you accelerate, and braking. It's like there's worn slop in the seat track. My son pulled the seats out yesterday so we can flop them over to gain better access in looking into the problem. Everything is there and works. Just slop in the seat track from being worn some. Has anyone experienced this problem with these kind of seats, and how did you fix it without replacing seats from another truck? I appreciate any hospitality in the matter. Thanks. God Bless.

My manual bench is the same. I will be pulling it as soon as the weather warms up. Did you ever find a good solution for it?
