Not my color, but nice project. My Father in law had stage 4 lung cancer. We lost him in 2010. I had stage 4 throat cancer in 2012. I'm cancer free sense 2013. It's nice to see what you are doing for Him.
Purple is not really my thing either. He was talking Prowler purple which is kind of pinkish or Mopar Plum Crazy, which is ok on a mopar. I painted a drag bike for a guy that his kid rides that color purple with carbon fiber decals. My FIL saw that and was gotta have it.

Still at it. Stepson came and helped with the brakes and the next day I had to re-rebuild 2 out of 4 calipers for the seals being installed backwards. Set the proportioning block safety in the process the day before so had to fight with that. FIL came by and mentioned he was going to have him do a tune up when he gets it back. So...... I had him get me the plugs, wires cap/rotor, oil, valve cover gaskets, went through the valves etc. I don't really want them climbing all over fresh paint. Finally got the hood back on and remembered how ill fitting it was. Low across the center of the nose and high along the left fender so had to rework those areas. He has the original hood but wants this one done on the car.

I understand the desire to be different but I sure hope that hood looks better when the car is finished.

yeah I am not a fan of the late eighties daytona style hood. I think that's there called. We had a parking lot full of Iroc-z's with that hood back in high school. My FIL picked out some goofy headlight assemblies also.
