I'm glad you made to Texas and hope things continue to work out for you! I like the truck and I am very familiar with Centurion, i used to make deliveries there almost daily (Indiana). I would walk through the plant and see all the trucks and vans on the lines. I would love to get a 4 door 1/2 ton GMT400 since we have 2 kids.

I feel like I just read a short novel. Seriously I feel like you could write a book! Haha! Definitely subbing the thread. Very nice truck! I'm glad that you made it safe to Texas and look forward to your updates.

Also I share your love for water cooled VW's. I have had about 10 of them through the years MK2's, MK3s, and MK4s. Including a 20th AE GTI which I still wish I had and a mint VR6 Corrado too.

thats awesome! ever seen one like mine? i have yet to find a std cab one....interested to find if its a one off or not.

thats cool, i just put my bug for sale, every girl i have met down here has looked at me funny for having a bug, not sure it will fly down here. hahaha. but man it would be fun in texas, i been screaming my 6.5 diesel 90-95 mph everysingle day since i got here! the roads are great here.
im going to have to re gear my 67 skylark or get a gear vendors just to drive it down here,

update, texas is awesome, if you are not here and live in a communist state, pack your stuff and come! hahaha. found mini 14s at walmart for $700 and all you need in a texas drivers license to buy! so cool!

i got to work on this badass crash truck!!! got to go for a ride in it and shoot the water cannons over the runway.....so cool! i am one of the few techs with a cdl so i get to drive everything, i drove a full on fire engine across ft.worth last week.....chick magnet! hahaha


the pics dont show the size of this at all!!!! its huge, if you look close there are legs at the driver door, that hose nozzle on the front was over my head and im 6' tall!

first day of work guy walked by and said "did he find it yet?"....at my last job i would have been worried they pumped a drawer of my toolbox full of grease....but this is texas, everyone is nice.....they got me a sticker. hahaha



i told the guys at work i still had not gotten bbq yet, they all got together and took me out for lunch at a bbq place! and we did it last friday too! so digging it here so far.....still no wife to be found but ive been eyeballing some land....

oh, the truck is still going strong, need an alignment and have added oil twice since i got here, but..... I JUST ROLLED 200,000 MILES! and shes still kicking!!! .....thanks for watching my thread!

Sounds like things are really coming together for you there. Glad you're enjoying yourself and I hate Connecticut as well.

I didn't see any single cabs. Maybe someone who worked there had it built, just an idea. If you carfax it maybe it would show the first state it was registered in.
