Anyone have any experience with a Monkey Grip brand limited slip? They are 250 bucks cheaper than a Yukon or Eaton and I'm wondering if they are any good.

I would definitely not gamble on that. Even the company logo looks like it was drawn by a kindergarten student.

Eaton or nothing IMO.

Is it a lunchbox locker or full sized? Either way I'd let someone else guinea pig a Chinese diff.

Oh, I'd say it definitely could. While I'm no G80 defender, both of mine are still functional after over 150K miles. Somehow I doubt the Monkey Grip would have that kind of a lifespan...

I agree with @df2x4. The G80 failures are most commonly the result of the poor design. Not faulty parts or sub par metallurgy.

I just got the Spartan locker for my 89. Ive had the Powertax in an old Landcruiser, never had a problem with it.
