I'm Putting This NBS Center Console In My RCSB I Trimmed It And It's Now Flush,Close To Perfect but I Would Like To Paint It To The Blue Of The Interior. Does Anyone Know The Color Name Code or Is There A Dye ? Tips On Preping And Painting ? Looking To Do It Myself Thanks!

RPO trim codes should be available on your SPID inside your glove box, here's an example:

Took me a while of searching the "net" to find the exact colors for my '89 Chevy but with some persistence you'll track 'em down.

Our local paint supply shop happens to carry SEM products and I was able to have them mix and fill a couple of cans in the color I needed. I love working with this product. As for prep I just use Dawn liquid dishwashing soap and warm water, clean thoroughly, let dry, wipe down with 70% rubbing alcohol just prior to paint to remove any other dirt or contaminants and then spray a light coat and so on. I've used this method for years and have never had an issue with peeling or lifting. Prep is definitely the key.

LMC Truck has a can of paint for dashboards and other plastic interior objects: http://www.lmctruck.com/icatalog/cd/full.aspx?Page=60

I have been told it supposed to match the OEM interior paint. I was thinking about buying the blue to recover my blue dash, since it is starting to fade.

@89RCLB, thank you for that link. Just downloaded the 1998 pdf.

However, I did notice there was no Indigo Metallic Blue on there, must be navy blue.

Check your RPO codes, there should be trim color(s) information on the Service Parts Identification sticker.

26D is your trim code...looking at SEM's .pdf for your '98 isn't converting over though. However, according to this website, your interior color is Navy.
