Does anybody have a line on American made tow mirrors, or at least a brand they've had good success with? I bought a set branded US Stock from eBay in hopes they were good quality. They arrived today and on first inspection I was pleased but in preparation to do the install I tested the power functions and they didn't work.

I tried some of the eBay tow mirrors (the best "highest rated" ones), but I returned them after about a week. The angle, look, and visibility was great, but even with a proper installation w/the extra brackets, they shake like hell. It was very disorienting and difficult to see any real distance back (which is the point of tow mirrors lol). The power in the mirrors, however, worked fine and plugged right into my stock mirror plug. I went back to the normal mirrors with a convex mirror stuck to it for towing. Kinda bummed about it because tow mirrors are great, but the terrible shaking totally negated the fact of the extra visibility.

The factory mirrors are so small on my 96, but the tow mirrors are bigger than I'd like (I don't tow anything more than my 10' trailer). Is there a mirror in the middle somewhere?

The point of a tow mirror is to see around a wide enclosed trailer. I can't see a 10 footer necessitating a tow mirror. I'm also unaware of anything other than the GMT800/900 style tow mirrors unless you want a clip on.

I don't need a tow mirror, just looking for something a little larger than stock. I've seen larger mirrors on the express vans, but those won't fit

i bought these last year for my k3500. I'm sure they are Chinese but they work great. Plugged right into my harness and the power mirrors work great. Even comes with brackets to put inside the door for better strength. The only thing is it has an led light on the mirror. That you have to wire yourself because obviously the stock mirrors weren't wired for lights.

The 93 and older GMT400 mirrors work great for that. they are bigger and stick out further than the 94+ mirrors.

I bought a 95 that the previous owner installed the 93 and older mirrors on. I pull gooseneck, and they are adequate, and much better than the 94+ mirrors.
