I used the Delphi without issuue. I definitely did not pay $400+ dollars for it either... it was around the same price as the AC Delco at the time.

I don't see the Delphi anywhere for under $400. Amazing price difference between the Delco and Delphi. Easily $180.

So is your logic that every aftermarket part is inferior to OEM?

I won't defend him and his egregious use of caps lock, but in many cases aftermarket is very inferior. I can't speak to the injector spiders personally.

I can agree on many levels but I always recommend doing research. A case in point, anyone who knows the vortec 350 would never put any intake gasket in other than the Fel Pro MS98000T. The factory gaskets are garbage.
In this case I will disagree that the standard motor spider is inferior. I've had both in my hands and they appear identical. I've run both and not been disappointed.

They look identical in the pictures. Remember that Delco doesn't make anything. They just rebadge other products. Now the Delphi looks different (in pictures anyhow) and some of their stuff is still made in the US.

Delphi is good equipment. Delco is oem, which means before gm will rebadge a product, it has to meet there quality assurance. I agree that some aftermarket is better than oem( no one beats fel-pro for gaskets... period) delco products are usually my preferred way to go as I know they are good quality and usually good priced. As far as injectors go- i have tbi vice spider but I would stick with the delco unit vice a Chinese product.

This is pretty much where I'm at. I'VE noticed a visual difference in quality since stepping up to AC Delco parts. They always look exactly the same as the old part. This is rarely the case for aftermarket, and don't even get me started on reman junk or anything electrical. I don't seem to have to re-replace the AC Delco parts and they always perform as expected. Hell, with a tensioner pulley they included a new bolt with threadlock. My diff output seals for the Vette came pregreased and the factory master and slave came pre-serviced and pre-bled! I don't care if I pay more for the same thing if it saves me research and asspain and gives me peace of mind. I always feel dirty when I'm in a bind and have to use parts store junk.
