Picked this thing up a few weeks ago from a used car lot. First vehicle I've ever had financed, hopefully it'll last me a while.

It's an 01 Silverado 5.3 auto 4x4, 4.5 bds lift on 35s. Engine was put in about 15k miles ago, front end was shot when I got it so we redid that last weekend. This thing was filthy, ended up spending 25 dollars at the car wash pressure washing the outside and undeside of it.

Don't plan on doing much, maybe ditch the camo wrap, get a good set of tires for sure, maybe 2015 tow mirrors. Also have a 2015 rear bumper I might try to put on.

I'm searching for a z71 valence locally as I type, the bull bar and the camo are going as soon as I get a rocker for the passenger side. The bull bar is a bit of an issue in itself, I looked all over this truck when I picked it up but didn't see that some idiot welded the bull bar on the frame...

On a good note, got the exhaust fixed on it. It was straight piped when I bought it, seriously hated it, too droney and raspy. Got a 2 chamber muffler put on Saturday dummy dualed with LT1 tips out the back, its so much better and actually has some tone and sound to it.

They seem to be getting along so far, had to turn in the tags on the red truck because I pulled insurance and everything off of it til the motor goes in. That hurt me to do.

Pretty much how I felt about having to turn the tags in. But that red truck will be back on the road soon hopefully.

Here is the truck with the LT1 tips, not a big fan of them after a week or so

And the remedy for the tip problem

Been meaning to ask you how bad was it to do the front end in this?

It wasn't bad, just do one side at a time, have any problems just look at the other side. Still need to do my ball joints, got whole control arms for not much more than ball joints, so I definitely recommend them.

1st chance I got to read this thread. Looks like a good truck. I do like the bull bar, but not the camo.
