Please don't build a lowered 4.3... I've been fighting the urge to drop mine for years. That might put me over the edge.

In fact lately I've been playing with the idea of LQ4/T56 swapping the red truck, but I doubt I'll ever bring myself to do it. It's just too nice to hack on. I need a beater...

LOL....i'm not talkin chulomobile.....like 3/2 or so....good lower profile street tires on 454SS rims.......just get the center of gravity down a bit......maybe 2 sway bars. if i could get it to handle like an Impala SS i'd be real happy.

i'll have to find a picture of what i'm thinking of......not radical.

i want to own something that gets over 20 MPG.....besides my bikes

Gas mileage is nice for sure.

If I ever drop my red truck I'm thinking two inch front and rear. I like the rake look with the front slightly lower, so I wouldn't want to level it. Like you said, just drop the center of gravity a little.

WOW... what a difference. I would be hesitant to clean them without knowing what would hurt the coating on the vapor deposited aluminum. I guess you got the straight dope from someone in the know?

i've read a few forums, asked a few questions along the way...and experimented with a wooden skewer and cloth......the "white foggy" haze is usually just calcium deposit from condensation, there's a few things that break it up. i started with the least abrasive and caustic stuff......i used cascade powder that i simmered to dissolve and let it soak.......i was sure spooked about the reflectors but this stuff is gentle......the other "rinse" product helps to keep the clean water deposits at bay......the hair dryer deal was my idea........

the SC lamps are older and were used so they're not perfect, but i'm ecstatic how they came out. the BiO's were NOS in the box, still a tad cloudy though.....now they sparkle like gemstones.

next....i have to get some Oscar lamps assemblies......Demon Tweeks in England has the best pricing with the H4 lenses i'd also want ta have in my inventory....After this i'm gonna have to chill for a while......i lost my mind there for a while........but i figure that DEAD is a long time, so it's fine. this has given me pleasure.

i'm a very lucky man for whom i've had the pleasure to have "met" along the way...you've certainly dropped bread crumbs in front of me Mike.....this thread brought up ghosts from the past and starting a Cibie collection is a harmless way to spend my recovery time.

seems this thread is never gonna end.......gmachinz is making me 2 harnesses and should be here soon enough.

i guess this was before Cibie pulled out of America.....anyone with NOS stuff in this country, such as that Aardvark (Talbot), ... and a few others bought out distributorships...that bozo from aardvark will never get any of my business because he lied to me, the stupid fu@k. he has 3 online companies that i know of......none recently update and his prices are pretty darn steep......ONE new Cibie 35 fog from him is $175.

we'll be seeing more stuff from Not on Main Street Garage. e-bay i more of a hobby deal for Jackson, but he has an inventory.......i keep bugging him to find a quad set of CSR's.....LOL........mayhaps one day he'll find low beams for RHT.
