man...that Osram/Vosla combo is fu@kin sweet......now git em adjusted proper and get some nice purty road beam shots!

the "wall pattern" is almost identical to mine. your low beams seem to be a "tad" blue too....i think it's that coating Osram puts above and below the filament......either way she looks great.

if you took those with your phone you may be able to use the "effect" feature to make a negative.....it helped me see the errant light mine had when the bulb was crooked....yours looks fine.

Cheers!

They put out some light for sure. Even with the slight blue tint it does great in snowy/rainy conditions. The weather has been decent the past couple days so Ive had the skyline out. But its starting to snow again so I should have some night shots soon. Ill look into the negative effect.

You are correct, both of the adjustment screws on OEM housings are Torx. Had to go pull one out of the box, been a long time since I messed with the factory housings.

All the aftermarket housings I've laid hands on are as I described, though. One Torx and one Phillips per side.

Shortly after I got my 98 Sierra SLE in 2011 I saw my headlights needed to be adjusted, they were stripped so I ordered from a auto parts store (on line because I could get them cheaper on line than the brick and mortar store but I digress) a OEM replacement style. I didn't know about all the options that were available then, jump ahead to January of this year, 2017. Those lens were getting fogged over and found a set of Spyder headlights, WOW what a difference, then I heard about doing a after market wiring harness with relays to get full battery voltage, again quite a noticeable difference.

I did reuse the auto store replacement backing so when I went to the Spyder lights I didn't have to remove every thing to replace them, just the two 5mm head screws, lazy.

The short version of this is, the Spyders that I have are both Phillips screw for the adjustment, up/down left/right.

Just the other day I had the occasion to drive my truck on wet black top, you know the stuff that just sucks the light right out of your setup and basically all you see is, NOTHING. Well even after the relay set up and those SYLVANIA 9006 SilverStar Ultra, https://www.amazon.com/SYLVANIA-SilverStar-Performance-Headlight-Contains/dp/B000M5Y720 I could just see the road, just. I think there was / is to much blue in the mix, even though it 'looked' white, I could still see more blue than I thought was necessary.

I know there has been quite a discussion on which bulb for the dim side was the 'best', but my eyes are starting to feel crossed trying to find that specific discussion on name brand, tint or no tint, but I haven't found it yet. If someone can point me to that discussion it would be greatly appreciated. Even though I paid a little under $50 for a pair of those light at my local Meijer grocery / general merchandise type of store. I would get something different if I thought I would get more light on the ground in front of me. I don't want to feel like I need a Leader Dog when it rains and find myself on black top.

i remember living upstate and driving on those "black hole abyss light sucker" roads in the mist and rain.

i don't know about those Silverstars. maybe they don't put out the light that the Philips and Osrams do..... they don't even SAY what they do put out ie; +30%, +100% etc........that's probably why they lost a 30 million dollar class action law suit with their other bulbs.......you have the HIR's for the high beam, right?

the color temperature for the philips can be found here: scroll down, it's 3400K
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00U1OLM1Q/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o03_s02?ie=UTF8&psc=1

or the Osram Nightbreaker Unlimited:
https://www.amazon.com/OSRAM-Night-...id=1490582239&sr=1-1&keywords=osram+9006+bulb

i'm pretty sure that "segment" your referring to is buried in the Spyder thread.....who the hell knows where tho.....

I think I'll order me a set of the Philips 9006 X-tremeVision from Amazon, I hope I don't get to many 'why do you want get that POS bulb' Reading some of the reviews where the person show people showed pictures of OEM and those bulbs is what convinced me I want to order them. Yes I see a small blue ring at the top, I'm hoping it isn't so much it will cast as much of a blue tint as the Sylvania SilverStars I currently have in there. The Phillips are suppose to have a 3400 K temp, where the Sylvania SilverStars are suppose to be 4100 K.
