Currently in the process of totally rebuilding the suspension on the gmc. 1.5" coil spacers, rancho rs5000s all four corners, energy suspension poly bushings for everything...EVERYTHING, moog ball joints and tie rod ends, and much more. Being very thorough with this one, doing the work myself in the afternoons has been a b####. Contemplating stealing the lift spindles off of the suburban to give the gmc 6-7" total lift so i can run 35s? Too much for a 2wd? Also new wheels came in, 20" 8 lug ltzs off a 2013 2500 duramax (yes i will be running adapters), waiting on rubber.

So far i have removed the whole front suspension, cleaned painted and installed all new bushings and ball joints. Upper control arm ball joints were fun for sure :banghead::anitoof:. Installed lower assembly on drivers side before i ran out of time today. This sH## is time consuming. It will be worth it, closer and closer every day. :grd:

Have fully removed the lift off the suburban, cleaned, prepped and painted all parts. Now its just a matter of getting everything put on. (Front end at least) Had to custom fabricate mounting brackets for the steering stabilizer. Steering components staring to go on. So much to do. Fabtech spindles are quite beefier than the stocks.

I know I mentioned that the lift should have stayed on the Suburban, but it looks pretty damn good on the truck!

Well got a few well needed things done on the truck: New 2015 tow mirrors fully wired to run park lamps and turns. New factory replacement front valence. New 35" toyo mts to replace the bald ats my friend lent me. (that one hurt the wallet even though they were on sale at the local tire shop.) FINALLY GOT CENTER CAPS for the wheels. Finally got the new 10.5" 14 bolt in geared at 4.56, yes 4.56. Drum brakes for now, as funds come i plan on disc brake conversion. Actually gets better milage now, averaging 10-12 depending on my right foot. Time to save up for paint and interior work. Or horsepower, still a long ways to go.

Well, it's been a while so I thought I'd do an update.

Got a brand new chrome bumper from LMC. Sanded and re sprayed the tow package, totally re wired the trailer plug and trailer brakes to an updated 8 pin plug. My main goal was to get the truck to where I can actually use it to pull some trailers now. She tows pretty well: I think my next project will be track bars for stability and she definitely needs more horsepower.

Another note, I ended up having to get the transmission rebuilt so I opted for a better than stock rebuild with some goodies and a full transo HD2 hit. Happy with this investment.
