Yeah mine kinda trimmed itself. Finally got the cam out today, here's the worst lobe.

There were a number of lobes chewed up, most were pretty mild. Since the pan is off, I think I'll crack open some bearing caps and see what went on in there as well. May end up rolling some new bearings in while I'm at it. At this rate though, by the time I seal the motor up I'll have to park it for 6 months to get enough dough scraped together to buy a bed for it. On the plus side, this motor is CLEAN inside.

Pretty good believe it or not. The worst lifter came from a lobe that was pitted on the peak. Most lifters are good looking, but they have tiny indentations if you look closely that indicate they rolled over shavings or dirt or something.

Man i figured to one that was on the fourth lobe would be horrible.

So the big block lifters apparently command a larger premium than the small block lifters, which are shared with the LS engines Gen III and Gen IV non-AFM. $440 BB vs $120 SB for some GM lifters, $120 for the Chinaman versions. I went with GM which included the spider, dogbones, and bolts even though I didn't need that ****. It was gonna be $30 each to get just the lifters.

So I've been a little lazy and now about out of money. Thanks house. I spun the engine to TDC #1 and cranked the rockers down. Just as the bolts bottomed out I hit zero lash, so I need longer pushrods but not sure how much longer. I don't even know what stock is, nor do I have the equipment to measure so I'm completely lost and I've found precisely jack and **** via google. I have a sinking feeling it's going to be $200 for ******* pushrods. Also, does anybody know if stock rockers play nice with the adjustable stud conversion?
