Another quality 'off road' light:

Baja Designs Squadron.

xc_hide_links_from_guests_guests_error_hide_media

i must say...i am impressed with LED lighting for rear tasks......these things are bombproof, but on the large side. i think they'd work better mounted on a roof rack......they hang very low on a "stockish" truck.

great find though

"Well you can get kits for as low as $50 but there are two problems.

1. Your car will burn down.
2. You blind other people.

There should be a movement called H.A.R.E. Program
(HID kit Abuse Resistance Education)"
LMAO!!!!

I was looking at Cibie's, vs Hella, vs KC for fog lights... quality seems to be lacking in some examples. As for the Buick lights, I had run across a used set at a swap meet quite a few years ago. Have not seen another set until that post. Guy selling them had a pile of Buick Turbo stuff... if I had to guess what they were on, Id say Buick Reatta &/or Buick Cutlass Convertible (FWD).

Update... did a little googling on the Buick forums.... Optional on the Buick Skyhawk T-type and Turbo

Think Chevy Citation X-11, Cavalier Z24, Sunbird GT, & Sunbird GT Turbo...but clad in Buick trimmings.

hmmm....i forgot about that Reatta thing. back in the early '90's or so, an old friend's father had Buick make him one of those......it had a numbered plaque on the door-jam, with his name engraved on it......was an expensive little **** mobile.....had some electrical problems as i recall.......they were personalized cars by Buick.

hmm, as i recall even Cadillac had a version of that Cavalier......i bought my old company car when the towing company went **** up....a 1986 Cavalier 2.0 5 speed 2 door......was my company car when i was managing part of the business.......good little car for sure......

well.... in this picture of a 1987 Buick Skyhawk turbo that you dug up, you can see that Marchal fog lens plain as day.....you're a detective sir....good job!

I am going to have to get a set of these glass lenses. So awesome. Never been a big fan of LEDs for headlight use, just don't look right to me. Can't beat the current draw of LEDs though.

the Spyders are definitely good....i wish i knew how well the OEM's would work.....i believe either deejaaa or drewcrew will be doing a harness and bulbs with good stock housings....i'm sure well see those results.....had mine been good that's how i would have proceeded from the jump.

now i have wire mesh on my mind......think like this example:

Behold! The Cadillac Cimarron.... biggest sin Cadillac ever dreamt up... least the Caddy 4-6-8 kinda worked before it grenaded, the technology needed much more advanced electronics than were available in the early 80's... now its a common thing (DOD-VVT).

Id forgotten about these pics until you mentioned this, LOL. I found this one for sale near me about 10 years ago. Snapped these pics because I figured it was the last one Id ever see. Was actually in decent shape, but still just a Cavalier with lots of faux luxury, sealed composite headlights, and el cheapo stock fogs... even Buick had a one-up on this pile. I cant recall... pics were taken with either my old Samsung flip phone or Palm Pre... either way.

Versus a similar year Cavalier. Took these pics the same day... this Cavalier was for sale around the same time. Took pics to contrast differences between the two. (Yes, I have a problem)

For some reason I can't explain....I find myself on the lookout for super clean 2-door J-body cars....lol. But in my defense, after seeing member builds on a couple forums, those little shitboxes are absolutely bad-ass when a hot 3.1 V6 is crammed in and turbocharged. I have a dream in my mind of a LeSabre T-type with the backwards hood and a FWD 5.3 V8 from a newer Impala SS that I would really love to build. Cars guys have a variety of automotive sicknesses! lol
