Sold my Tahoe a few months back because i was in a financial grind....sad sad day, but she had to go. Now that I'm back into work, I've picked up a couple new projects. A 1997 GMC sierra c2500 that used to be my granddads truck. (never selling this one) It was sitting in front of my grandmas house rotting away. I bought it cheap. It wouldn't run or drive before i got to it. The tires were dry rotted off, ignition was trash, fuel pump was trash etc...Threw some money at it and its my daily driver now. I also picked up a 1996 (Gen. 3) suburban c2500, leather fully loaded....with a 454 big block! (this one can leave) I bought this thing for way cheaper than i should have considering it has only 156000 miles. What y'all think? I want to do an engine swap on the gmc, right now its got a clapped out 350 vortec in it.

Looking good! That Burb looks familiar, was it listed on CL for a while?
I'd take the lift, rims, diesel bumper, mirrors and any other decent pieces and throw them on the GMC, rebuild that 454 and drop it in as well,

I typically don't like Suburbans but yours looks pretty good! I would feel a bit bad if I ripped it apart assuming there is nothing wrong with it.

But the truck does look good and could use a 454!

Matter of fact it was, i was trying to sell it haha. Ive thought about ripping the motor out, would be a direct swap into the gmc! but honestly the suburban has leather and mostly everything works, might save everything else on this one for a vortec 8100 sas project sometime in the future when i win the lottery :33:.....might even sell off the unicorn fabtech c2500HD spindle lift......yes its 2wd for now.

sweet and they're both good colors. show some interiors.

Thanks all, The interior on the gmc is stock work truck red with bench seats....soon to be black leather buckets if i have anything to say about it. Suburban is stock tan leather, ill get pics up soon.

Chopped the rusted out running boards off this weekend. Power washed the chassis and gave it a good coat of undercoating. Its the little stuff.
