Fuel is the easy part. Spark is where it gets time consuming, trial and error, etc. How does the Hollley tune for spark? Especially on a motor that never came with a knock sensor?

My motor came with a knock sensor? I have 2 . The L31 has ever sensor the Ls1 had.
The holey doesnt tune spark only fuel. It has a program that takes two wide band 02 sensors . Matches your desired AFR to achieve optimal output.
Sparks easy for me , its fuel ,fuel ratios vs cold weather startups or warm. Stuff like that

Typically it is an O-ring. If you plan on trying to re-use one, I wouldn't.

A lot of times, people tighten the screw to the point where the retaining bar bends, then it can fail under high RPM and blow out.

Ya know, I could swear my 1500 had the factory block heater when I got it, but thinking back to all my wrenching I don't recall ever seeing it.

Ive always used mine. Especially with my new motor . its reduces allot of startup wear with forged motors.
Mines far from an o ring . The gasket is rubber and half a inverted radius . I know what the gasket is. Im trying to find a gasket for mine , that I use. I ripped mine draining water from the block to add antifreeze.
Ive looked every where I cant find a replacement.

Small update. I finally got around to verifying timing with a light today. Hp tuners has a function that allows you to add subtract or hold timing at said degree. I found out my timing was off a little under 30 degrees ruffly.
Explains why Ive been having so much trouble with my VE fuel tables . When it would advance 35 degrees it was really 5-8. Wow . Explains the occasional pop out the intake.
Then the RTV gasket I made for my block heater busted. Im just going to buy a new one with O-ring .

I actually made head way today. I still cant get my CMD offset pid to work but I re-stabbed the distributor and I know its really close this time. The camshaft low ses went out and the truck now starts up no problem, idles like a pro, revs to the moon , and makes a good amount of boost with out load.
This was a 3500 pull. I didnt have a 3.5inch turbo hose clamp. I was using a regular. Aint happen scared me.
I now feel confident in moving forward.

O I bought a 96 burban 6.5l td other day. Needs allot of work clean interior and third row seat though.Starts right up. Now I have 2 to swap parts in between. The burban has all the heavy duty stuff. If I didnt just buy a stall and rebuild my 4l60e I would swap out the 80 4 the 60.
The 6.5 has a blown head gasket. Picked it up for 500. Ill grab pictures asap.
