I just got mine today. $20.00 off of ebay. Now I just need to save for a 2din. Some nice 7" screen units on ebay....

I just ordered 1 as well off ebay. Just trying to decide on the double din I want. May go with the Pioneer app. I want to have Nav and Android control. Just need to get the interior and speakers swapped before I pull the trigger on my never ending build.

The metra unit is nice.... but it requires you to cut the bottom of the dash where the radio will rest. I think you cut an inch out of your dash below the radio. It does look like a solid piece though. I would buy theres, then I would cut the top, shorten it and then do the vent mod and install it like I did mine.

I am just leary of cutting my dash in a spot that is visible if I ever want to do something else with my trucks dash.

I just hope I don't have to completely remove my cup holder below...

You're cutting more than an inch out of the dash. I was sweating it quite a bit. I wasn't sure I wanted to do it. I just checked on my truck to see if the cup holder will interfere. Unfortunately my floor shifter interferes with the cup holder, but my guess is there may be some modifications needed to make the cup holder work. You will certainly have to at least temporarily remove it to get the Metra kit in. In the Metra instructions it has a picture with the cup holder in place. If you take your existing vent panel/radio adapter out you can place the Metra panel in place to see how it looks and fits without cutting anything..

I'm still waiting on it to get here..It goes in the shop tomorrow for a new gear box and see if tapping is just a lift adjustment or something else... hopefully nothing bad.

I bought one and the opening is not big enough for my Kenwood DPX-503. Kenwood instructions call mine a Dual DIN Stereo I guess the kit is for a double din.

Ive heard others have had to trim the opening a bit for different head units. How far off was it?
