Find your ground on the harness and run a direct one. Some of these chevy's had problems with grounds under the dash.

There is a mounting rail on the bottom of the dash, use that. It's the screws that point up on the under side of the dash.

I had a buddy who is an electronic whiz, find the issue. I have had so many people work on it from audio, alarm etc. I swear he probably cut out 10 ft of wire, not to mention an ancient alarm hidden almost at the top of the dash and behind the ac. What damn nightmare!
