Hey guys I have few questions. I am getting the stuff around to do a 6.0 swap into my truck and the biggest hurdle I am running into is wiring stuff. What is the best route to go on this. I can find info for 96 and up but not much specifics on 95 and older. I'm just wondering if it might be best to have someone do a harness for me so I can make this a little more plug and play friendly and if so who would you guys recommend?

You have to pretty much make a stand alone harness and mate togehter what you need to keep. There will not be a definitive guide specific to you vehicle. I started with prepping the swap harness. I used a guy in Maine to do that but the next one I will do myself. Once that was done I went through the under hood harness circuit by circuit and removed everything I didn't need. Once you start it become more and more clear. The worst part for me was physicaly removing the wiring from the plastic bulkhead where they pass through the firewall. I'm not sure what the goo was made of but what a pain in the arse.

Mail order programing (often called a tune) sucks. I've had a guy do mine and I've changed 90% to make the truck run right. Get HP tuners and rear read read.

In my opinion before pulling the 350, mark all your wires. You will reuse the temp sender and oil sender for the gauges. Also need the wire down to the starter. My harness is a modified stock LS harness, and it is stand alone. I'm still figuring out how to get my speedometer to work. I may end up with an Ultra Gauge, that runs off the OBDII port.

On my 95, I have all my stock gauges working, I completely removed the stock ecm and DRAC, I tied my speed signal wire in to my oe wiring before the DRAC in the dash beside where the stock ecm is located.

Sorry I'm just getting back to you guys been a crazy week. Im going to use the fitech standalone kit I believe. I think its going to make it fairly easy to do the conversion that way

SO I have started ordering stuff for the swap and I ordered a walboro 255 in tank pump but I'm wondering what you guys did for the fuel lines. I'm pretty wide open on what I can do as I need to replace the lines from the tank forward. I'm just wondering if I should run the the stock lines that go from the frame rail up to the tbi unit and adapt them to the fuel system on the 6.0 and then I can put in the corvette pressure regulator fairly easy without having to hack my existing lines apart.

I ran the fuel line from the donor that ends just forward of the tailshaft housing. I flared that to the GM push type end. I cut truck fuel lines in the frame rail, flared as needed with the same push on connections. I made a short plastic line from those to a Corvette filter assembly, and then another from the output of the filter to the line going to the rail. Clear as mud right? :)

BTW, I didn't use an expensive fuel pump. I replaced the factory pump with a Delco replacement for a CPI truck. 10k or so on it now with no issues on a mildly warmed up 5.3.

I'll look for pictures of the fuel lines when I get back home and post if I have them.

Yea the wall arrow was fairly cheap and it sits in my existing sending unit. So it's pretty much pub how I want from the sending unit to the fuel rail which should be pretty easy

Well I wound up not getting a 6.0 instead doing a 5.3 cause the price was right. Going to start ripping the donor truck apart tomorrow night once I get it home

Got the motor out and have started getting rid of parts from the donor truck. I have a feully unmolested harness and computer from the 2000 1500 that I will be selling as well. I will try and get some pics up this weekend of the engine and how it looks
