Yes i was talking about the GAS tank il try and get a better pic and some measurements... Does anyone know if the motor mounts are the same for the 454 and 350. the new frame had a 350 in it.

Alright, Made a little progress started stripping down the new frame to get ready to blast. decided Im going to go ahead and replace most of the front end.. going to be keeping a running total for costs if you guys would like in case someone else would like to tackle a job like this... here are some pics.

Discouraged...... cleaned the front end of the frame and found some hair line cracks in the frame..... doesn't look like it's from rust just don't know what to do now.. some are under the motor mount bracket one is around the bar that runs from the side to the middle any suggestions does it look like it could be plated and welded I was planning on putting some money in a pretty much new front end...

Find the ends of the cracks and drill a hole on them... that will help it from spreading... then weld it back up.. if you can get to the crack pretty easy try to
v-groove the crack a little bit as well to help with welding it up... dress it up and call it good..

Just gotta wonder how much you owe on this 20 year old truck to justify this kind of time and expense? Looks like you are making good progress though.
