Thank you very much, I really appreciate all of the help you provided. I'll look for the hard lines tomorrow, I'm done for the day.

Meant to throw this picture up in the last post just to show where the progress is at:

You are welcome, although I kind of obligated myself back when I told you you can do it, and it's easy lol. I can't leave you hanging now.

Haha, I still appreciate it, probably wouldn't have gotten as many answers without your help. I'm fairly confident that the truck will be finished this weekend

What's the best way to rotate the engine to line up the timing marks? Do spark plugs and distributor need to be removed?

Also, going to back to the pictures On the previous page with the hoses I asked about. Are you sure those hook to a hard line? I know the picture that you posted shows the line that goes across the upper intake to the charcoal canister(?), I have that one hooked up, but there is another hose next to it. I took pictures of one of my teacher's motors in his suburban, and one of the hoses I was asking about doesn't seem to go to anything.

My truck:

And this is the other one I was asking about:

I couldn't see this one from your picture, and I don't seem to have a picture of my teacher's suburban with it, so I'm still not sure about it.

Well, mine is a 98, and a 3/4 ton, so I have lighter emissions and some different thing's anyway.

Attempting to set timing now. I pulled #1 spark plug, got a wrench on the crank, and felt air the very first turn, should it be fine, then?
