Welp, the truck is taking a leave of absence for a couple days. Grandpa and grandma took off with the truck and trailer this morning Georgia bound. I guess theyre going to see my brother and take a mini vacation but he is supposed to be truck shopping while hes down there. I swear gonna run my new tires off of it before they even see snow.

Grandparents made it to monteagle tn yesterday! Gpa said the truck didnt miss a beat, other than the hole in the gas tank, which makes me proud. Thats the longest trip its ever made and theyre headed for Auburn Georgia today. Last time it was down that way the trans spilled its guts all over I23 so i was waiting on a call to come get it all day yesterday. Gma says gpa found a truck he wants to look at when he gets down there, its a 2005 2500hd. Cclb 6.0 with 48,000 miles.

Edit: I forgot to mention the other part of the phone conversation. My gma thinks my truck needs new mufflers because my gpa takes his hearing aid out when he drives it. I told her that it didnt have mufflers and suggested that maybe it wasnt the trucks fault he took it out and i could hear him in the background laughing his ass off.

I wish the paint was as nice as your first pic. I had a shop quote me after I install the new bed skins want $15 000 to just give it a oem quality repaint.

I just paid 2100 bucks to have a rocker and floor installed in my C10 along with a full repaint. You need another shop lol, they just don't want to do the work.

Ya seems no shop around here wants to unless it's and insurance job. Heck I even told the shop I'll have it delivered on a flat bed with all the moldings mirrors door hands grill and rear bumper off. Thus have the box loosened with new bedsides already installed. The truck will be completely rusty free basically already is other the the bubbles on the box. I don't get it all they gota do is remove the side windows and scuff and paint.

Because they can do insurance jobs with all new parts and pull and replace and get paid guaranteed, and no one really judging their work.

Its not that nice lol. In that pic it was still soft and super glossy because it was painted 2 days earlier. It was just a respray but they ran the crap out of it in a couple spots and didnt fix those. Plus there was atlot of dirt in the paint at first.

Well in true grandpa fashion he bought a grandpa truck. 06 rclb 4x4 with 86,000 miles. According to my gma it actually has power options aaaannndddd thats pretty much all i know at this point other than its not a dmax. Theyre gonna put it to the test this weekend. 813 miles towing a trailer with my truck on it. Ill get some pics up when they get back.

On another note i got my dodge running this morning. I brought it to work yesterday so i could tinker with it and its alive again but has no dashlights, oil psi, or temp gauge..
