Winter plans are to drop my 89 C1500 Stepside with either a 5/7 or 5/8 drop. Planning on going all poly bushings. Gonna go with 20's with as wide as I can go in the rear for what I call the Euro look.
My question is this. What all can I do to make this thing handle like a sports car?
What size anti roll bars and so on?
Any advice and help will be appreciated.

What's the best shocks for this as well that will also give a decent ride?

Also are there any aftermarket brake up grades for front and rear?
I'd like to go with disc on the rear if I can find them.

Man, I haven't been on this site forever! lol anyways, if your looking to build a truck that will handle like a "sports car"..i think you may be disappointed unless you have real deep pockets.

But you can definitely make it handle better then stock. A few different companies offer sway bars and stuff like your asking, but from what ive seen, they all sell more or less the same diameter size bars. I think just upgrading the front and adding one in the back such as a belltech kit. Would make a huge difference.
As for your drop, 5/7/8ish is getting fairly low on static drop. Its doable, make sure you have a good cnotch in the back for some extra clearance. I had 7 inch in the back and it bottomed out all the time with the belltech cnotch. Could be different reasons though... soft springs? We also have pretty bad roads up north here...
I personally really liked the belltech stuff except for the front spindles.. they stock out more then factory so it caused the tire to hit the fender lip. From what I hear, DJM has some that don't stick out as much.

Disc brakes? You could look up the s10 front caliper with the impala ss rotors. its the "do it yourself" disc brake kit. I used the SSBC kit. Nice simple kit to install. Havent got to try them out, but I know the installment of the kit was very easy.
Front brakes, Buy 2500 callipers with your stock hub/disc in the front. Could get drilled and slotted for better cooling though. THe 2500 caliper has a bigger piston for better braking. I noticed a huge difference with that upgrade and also eliminating the ABS module. Quick fix for the softish pedals these truck have.

Tons of upgrades are available for these trucks... how deep are your pockets? That's the real question lol

Thanks Coursey.
I would like to see if I could get a 20x12 in the back. I saw somewhere where a guy did it but can't remember
