Hey guys what is going on, I need some help I had the weirdest thing happen in my truck today.

As I was coming home I was making a left into my parking garage at about 15 mph, some stupid kids where biking down the parking garage blocking the entrance causing me to slam on the brakes whilst I was turning. I felt the abs through the pedal, and also a shudder from the drivers side wheel while I was braking.

As I continued driving up the parking garage making a series of lefts the steering felt extremely weird and I could hear the tires squealing almost as if one wheel wasn't turning. It kinda felt like it was in 4hi but it was definitely in 2wd mode. I stuck my head out to check the wheels while driving and they were turning and couldn't notice anything abnormal, at least on the drivers side. I stopped and checked the passenger side, both wheels were turning. I drove it some more turning the wheel all the way right, making a right turn and then it all went back to normal. I made another left turn and no squealing, didn't feel like it was in 4wd or anything?

as an aside, I don't know if its pertinent or not, but at slow speeds while turning and braking (like in a drive through) sometimes I will get extreme shuddering from the front wheels.

It is K1500 Suburban, all stock including the rims and tire size. I just would like to know your guys thoughts as now I am kinda afraid to drive it.

You might need a caliper, the sudden blst of the brakes could have locked them up a little and just took time for it to loosen up?

Out of alignment will cause weird issues like this. Worn sloppy parts will cause all sorts of steering issues.

I agree, could be an alignment or bad caliper(s). It may be a good idea to replace your front rubber brake hoses, the deteriorate over time and cause similar symptoms. Good news, I guess, all the parts are plentiful and cheap. Gl.
