Almost to hit 320 000 in my old 5.7 TBI can't say I haven't had to twist a wrench on it or have the rusted cab corners replaced witch Iv had to do. Great truck dam good on fuel low cost of ownership this is one of the best vehicles Iv ever owned.ps lots of work has bin done to this truck over the years including dual exhaust.

long live the 88-98 C/K my most favorite body style. Once I get my lap top going IL posts most pics of other projects Iv built back in the day like my 95 GMC Sierra 5.7 to 454tbi( I hate carburettors so had to keep it TBI) swap aswell as new bad skin. And my 92 rusted out Silverado all redone with to almost show quality at 350 000 on it.

Looks like a nice truck, especially with that kind of milage. Take care of it and it will take care of you!

Ya it's in decent shape I do have the moldings back on the cab corners now and will be putting on the big chrome trim to cover up the rust on the box. The next things on my list 2.5 inch cowl hood and have the front fenders repainted there new fenders old ones rusted out but I used cheap crap paint. Sold my 2013 problem child Chevy and only have this truck now.

Make sure you hit it with some sort of rust inhibitor first. The chrom trim will make it spread like wildfire

The truck was an insurance total loss paid $500 few years back. Had to fix the damage and had to put it through a structural inspection aswell as a mechanical inspection. Bin a daily driver since 2014 I actually prefer driving it over my 2013 Chevy Silverado I actually just sold the 13 few months back with only 61 000km on it. I had bought it new. The 94 is was better on fuel rides nicer no auto locking doors or stupid seat belt dingers nor stupid traction control. Down side to the 94 (Captain Crunch) is its 2wd and the old 5.7 tbi is kinda gutless lots of low end torque though specially as I have 373s.

I onow what ya mean. Check out my build thread, ive got a cab corner that needs fixin too as well as a lower bedside. Ive never done body repairs but a cab corner patch panel will fix all the damage to the cab. Im just worried ill go through all the time to do it and it will look like crap.

It's very easy just take your time I could walk you through it when the time comes let you what materials to use and what tools you'll need.
