I have a dumb question. :)

Is the 411 repin different if your running the factory 350 vs doing an LS swap? Meaning would the pins be relocated to different positions depending on engine used?

Only a couple wires get moved when switching from a Vortec to a LS. You also have to add wires for the coil packs and rework the harness for the individual injectors.
I just went through all this myself.

Ok guys. I have a 97c1500 suburban with 200k on it with a bad 5.7 vortec engine. I picked up a gen 3 ls with full engine harness and ecm a couple of years ago for another project just haven't had time to do. So im researching all i can on the ls swap. I was told the engine i have came from an 02 tahoe but the previous owner can't confirm it. Its a drive by wire set up with an ecm that has the blue and green connectors. The service # is 12576106 and the hdw # is 12570558. Can you guys help me out with what this actually came from and can i use it in the 97 sub for the ls swap? Thanks for your help. - Chris.

That is a 2003 PCM. It should work fine.

Jeff
Thank you Jeff. Now knowing that it will work is there different pin out sheets for that ecm versus the 0411? My plan is to convert straight to an LS not using the Vortec 5.7. Would i modify the Vortec harness to fit the LS or would i modify the LS harness to the Vortec? I would like all of the factory suburban dash and abs to work. Thanks again.

The pinout is the same. I think it is easier to rework the Vortec harness for the Gen3 engine. It already fits your truck.

Ok that works. Will this ecm work with a drive by cable set up? I understand the ecm has to be reflashed, but can you tell me what all has to be done in the ecm? Again, i will be running the 5.3 LS not the vortec. May I pm you in regards to the pin out sheets?
Thanks, Chris .

That PCM does have IAC drivers and will run DBC. What has to be done to the PCM is to flash a DBC calibration into it.
