Wow that stinks. I really need to think about how to make my truck harder to break into....these trucks are way too easy.

Yah they are not very secure. The trouble is while you can make it very difficult for them to actually leave with it, that probably means they will break more stuff trying. I really just need to get into a better neighbourhood, or get a dog to sleep in the truck at night lol.

Been a while since ive updated. Pretty eventful summer. Had to replace the distributor and ICM because it stopped starting, almost a $500 bill. The rear u joint almost blew up on me and was quite a lot of work to get apart in the twisted state it was in. Got me thinking I should do the front one too before it becomes a problem.

Keep having belt and pulley problems. Bypassed the air/smog pump all together. Power steering pump doesn't spin well at all, after it shook off a belt i found this beauty of a bracket holding it on. Looks like it had cracked before and someone just put a weld bead on top.

Starter is acting up, still under warranty just have to get around to replacing it again. And one or maybe both rotors I replaced in January have warped a bit. Not too impressed with napa parts this year, I know I put a lot of weight in this truck but the rotors should last more than a year.

Generator and camper for the festival, Firewood for the winter.

whelp Ive officially sold/scraped off the old truck.
Rotor noise turned out to be bad bearings again. Left my injectors running rich for a road trip and cracked a manifold, plus not idling well. Then got it stuck and blew apart a u-joint messing up the driveshaft some more. Just too many $500+ repairs needing to be done. Did way more than I ever thought an old $700 truck would.

I considered another better condition 400 but wound up in an 800

I'll miss the rusty 400 :bawl:
Yah ive gotten that a few times now. The old girl won people over

6.0 2500 4x4 that's an upgrade and I approve.
Indeed more truck, stronger everything. Was pretty paticular about what i wanted in a new one and this just fit. The 350 is a fantastic engine and i wasnt wanting a newer smaller lsx with less torque even if the horsepower is higher

Yea I've driven 5.3 burbs and it just needs more torque, 5.3 pickup is better. so maybe the 5.3 burbs were lacking gearing. I prefer 8 lug and got the big block when I spent money....
