Anyone have this combo mind posting their mpg, driving conditions, and transmission. Really want to do gears I have 3.42s now and with mods it's far from gutless but I think I can get better mpg with at least 3.73s

On my 2wd I run stock 28.5" tires and swapped out stock 3.08 for 3.42 when my 10 bolt needed rebuilt at 100k miles . It increased the driveability (especially pulling a trailer), didn't do anything for mileage though. Not enough to be measurable anyways. If you're gonna change gears with 33's I would go 4.10 (at least). Moving up one size just dosent make that much of a difference. In my case I didn't need that much different. You might though.

I went from 3.73 to 4.10 with 285s and saw no mileage difference. Tires are what killed me, but I'm not going back to stock.

You can burn off the tire if you wanted but if you pull a 30 ft gooseneck with hay you can tell a different over 285s but I wouldn't call it gut less I am going to put a pro charger kit so it will have tons of power an still get good mpg
