I'm getting a vibration(like a cell phone) in my accelerator pedal from initial roll forward. The vibration turns on and off randomly. Usually after the engine starts revving out. But not always. It's not u-joints or wheel bearings because the truck hasnt started moving yet when the vibration starts. I can also get the vibration in park. It cant be felt anywhere else but the pedal. I've already checked the cable to see if its resting on anything. I read a suggestion that it may be a cracked flex plate? Is there any way to tell without yanking the tranny?

Do they typically crack from the edge? Center? All the way through?

Any guidance or advice would be appreciated. I will add that I just changed the tranny fluid and filter.

Flexplate usually makes quite a bit of racket under the truck if it's cracked or has problems, I would consider that unlikely. If it turns on and off randomly, and a higher frequency vibration that you can feel in the pedal...I'd recommend checking your A/C compressor. Even if the air conditioning and the blower is off, the compressor will still occasionally cycle if it's on defrost/defog.
