1st through 4th isn't terrible even with the 5.0 and whatever gears it has. Just 5th sucks. Hopefully the 350 a few addons and a tune fixes that

35s won't do **** with 4.10s, they need 4.30s or even better 4.56s. You still have a stock tune and, likely, the lip no the throttle body. Those 2 things alone will make all the difference in the world. My truck bone stock wouldn't hold OD to save its life. Now it climbs hills with ease in OD, even pulls my 8500# hauler in OD if the wind isn't blowing and it's flat which is never for both in CO.

What do you mean by lip on the throttle body?

Personally, I don't recommend doing this. I did it on my red truck and the only noticeable difference was that the throttle became more of an on/off switch. Much less gradual. Never even thought about doing it on the Suburban after that. I'm sure it frees up a little space for more airflow, but without a ton of internal mods (and/or forced induction) I seriously doubt you'd ever need it.

Are you talking about grinding down the throttle plate? If so then I'm not doing that again

I don't really understand why you have a concern with your 5th gear, its overdrive, its not supposed to be a fun gear or anything, just overdrive for better MPG.

Depends on how bad it is. My 94 dodge I put 36s on it and 70 was not happening in 5th it would just bog didn't have money for gears or wheel well to steer them so they didn't stay on long

I used to have a 94 C1500 with the v6 and 3.42s with 31 inch tires. The engine was completely stock, and 5th gear would hold 60mph fine unless I was going up a moderately steep hill. There must be something wrong with it perfomancewise for it to have problems in 5th, so maybe putting in a 350 would take care of it
