Was going to SeaFoam my truck and the vaccum connector on brake booster broke. Was being as gentle as I knew to be but still broke it. It's a $5.99 part at AutoZone so no biggie. But my question is, since part of it broke off and fell down into the booster, can that cause a problem or is it okay to just let it lay in there? Most of what fell in there is about half the grommet and the actual center of the connector. So maybe half of it is inside the booster. Comments appreciated.

That's a tough one, but it may be best you just weigh this one out yourself. Only saying that because I don't know how big the piece was exactly and how far it fell in. Did it fall to the bottom? Or did it fall down two inches, turn sideways, and stop? Yeah, lots of us know...Brake boosters are a pain.

Disclaimer: this is solely opinion.

-If I was lugging my family on vacation and/or towing a 24 foot yacht through the mountains, yeah...I'd go fetch it or just replace the booster.

-If I was my lugging myself in an empty truck to work on barren, flat country roads (not endangering anyone)...Eh, that piece wasn't that big was it?

Your call.
Sorry if that wasn't much help, maybe you got a laugh.
