I have a 96 c1500 with bad wind noise from one side with all new hardware, except seal, but if you pull slightly it stops. I remember seeing some aftermark latches that had very slightly longer arms to create a stronger lock for this particular issue, but I can't find them anywhere now that I need one! If anyone can point me toward the right direction that'd be amazing. I really don't want to replace the seal if I can avoid it...

Thanks! that's exactly what I was looking for! However, I noticed there was some play in the stock one so I just ordered a new latch along with some other parts I had to get anyway, maybe it will help... I pretty much never open the window and I've heard coating the seal in clean oil, latching the window, and leaving it will let small gaps seal as the oil congeals over time. I may try that, because I don't mind indefinitely leaving them shut, as long as I don't have to hear wind constantly.

$35 seems expensive for these when it's not a definite fix, and the entire latch was almost half the price from LMC. I guess if all else fails it's the next thing to try...

Replace the seals and be done with it.... rubber dries and shrinks a bit and hardens after time... the seal probably has no more push back left to go against the glass..

sent from what use to be a great country...
