I think I am going to opt to take it to a actual brake place like brakes plus or something like that and let them jack with it.

Unless they have a GM Tech 2 scanner at their disposal, they're not going to do any better with it. Just take it to a dealer or someone you know for a fact has a Tech 2. Otherwise it's really hard to get all the air out of the lines on these trucks.

Doesn't have to go to the dealer.. most mechanic shops (not brake only shops) will have a computer that'll do it.. the "Genesis touch" that we had at the shop I worked at will and did the process just fine many many times..

sent from what use to be a great country...

True. My mechanic's Snap-On will do it as well, I just always recommend a shop with a Tech 2 because I have no idea which other specific scan tools will actuate our ABS modules and which won't.

Here's what I would do. Tell them exactly what's happening, and make it clear that they need a scan tool to bleed the ABS. Let them figure it out from there. That is their job, after all.

And then when they eff it all up, just take it back a million times lol. Because you paid them to bleed the brakes, if you still have a ****** pedal, they didn't do it.

Well 1 down several to go. My Dad actually went to the dealership this morning to pick up his Duramax that was in for recalls and he told the service manager what was going on with my truck and said that he was told it needed to come to the dealer to have the ABS bled with a Tech 2. The service manager told him based on what he was saying that it was probably the "control module" and asked what he thought the truck was worth. He said they are in excess of $1,000 that its really not worth it. That I should just deal with the spongy pedal. I am not going to stop with this answer but just wanted to update.

Yeah, alot of shops are full of idiots or dishonest people lol.

FYI, you can buy a Chinese Tech II for under 300 bucks.

So sitting here thinking and reading. I did change out the ABS sensor on the passenger side. I wonder if I could have damaged the one on the drivers side during all the repairs. The sound sounds like its coming from the drivers front tire also. Its like a small motor running.
