1995 Chevy C1500. Was running & driving fine until last Tuesday, get in it and no crank. Battery charger/starter connected with 16volts on the dash, and it clicks 1 time. So, order a new starter and get it installed today, same issue. Turn key, 1 click. I can see the alternator slowly turning barely, if I hold the key down to crank. I have checked all the fuses, can't find a relay to check. Looked at cables and see no issues.

Help me????????

Worth a shot - swap in a known good battery. Even though you're showing good voltage on the gauge you probably aren't getting good cold cranking amps.

I'll second the battery idea. 16V is way too high... Makes me think the battery may be damaged internally somehow. I'd take it out and have a local parts store load test it to be sure, they'll do it for free.

EDIT - I know you said your cables look good but you might want to double check. Sometimes the ends can look OK at first glance, but the wire itself will corrode under the jacket and create a ton of resistance.
