I just recently got a 14 bolt SF with disc brakes from a 01 suburban. I want to keep my 6 lug setup. I'm trying to find out what the correct axle length is for this rear? I've found a few different 6 lug axles for the SF but I'm nervous about ordering if they're not right.

I forgot the exact length. But they fit under our trucks fine, you just have to weld new spring perches and shock mounts on them

Three years ago I rebuilt a 14 sf and mounted to my 93 GMC with Detroit locker. I did not have to change anything to mount. I used the original springs on the rear. I had to get new U bolts due to the ones off the donor where halfway rusted through. You can get the 14 sf from any 2500LD. From 98 and older and will bolt right up. Springs too. I got the axles and springs off the downer truck for $500 and the knuckles off the front for $150.
