New guy at the forum. Bought a 95' K2500 Cheyenne reg. cab with 8 ft. bed, with all kind of problem (I guess you've heard it before :) ) I bought it because it had a 20k miles optimizer engine in it and very less rust.
This is what I've done to it so far: went through the electric system since all kind of strange things happened when activating blinkers, heater fan, high beam etc. Installed a new FSD relocated with a cooler, a few new sensors, some stuff from Leroy, fuel pump relay setup (will prevent the oil press sensor to burn up), manuel glow plug relay, diesel tank armatur, high flow air filter, 4'' diamond eye w. 3'' downpipe, some stuff from ssdieselsupply as well, cooling upgrade, D-Max fan, with the double thermostat housing and a high flow water pump, the truck is strong as an ox but running short compared to my neighbors 12' cummins ram (wonder why :) ) maybe an a-team turbo++ would help me out? :) we'll see

Thanks, I'm sure I'll find a lot of useful info here, I'm impressed about the knowledge of this trucks among you guys ''over there''.
Optimizer is a improved 6.5 liter diesel engine produced by AM General, who took over the production after GM went with the 6.6 liter Duramax.

I know the gas engine is ruling in the US, I've had some of those earlier, 93' Suburban with a 454, and a 00' Suburban with 496 and a whipple charger, but they are sucking my wallet to low tide with the gas price we got over here.

Welcome!
A 496/blower? Yes!
What's the price of gas per liter there?
Right now, we're around $1.10-$1.15.
Diesel = $1.05-$1.10

You guys up north should switch back to imperial. We're currently about $2.25/gallon ($.595/liter).

Gas about $6.86/gallon
Diesel about $5.90/gallon
I guess the imperial system is good when you're used to it though :)
