Hi sewlow,

They are glass headlights. The low beam are sealed by the look of them but will have to check the high beam to confirm.

I cant tell you much about the tail lights, as mine are just aftermarket sets used for the tray. Our standards specify amber turn signals as far as I'm aware, so I imagine they would have an amber lens.

Some parts are harder to get here obviously, and the bonnet (hood over there) protector was one of those parts. It's almost ready to take over the pits and get registered, with some luck.

Just needs lights wired up correctly, timber on the tray and seats bolted down properly. Fingers crossed only a few more weeks.

You must be registered for see images attach

Hi all,
So not much in the way of updates. I keep hoping to have it ready for an inspection to get registered, but there always seems to be one more thing to fix.

Now waiting on a flasher relay. Theres no LEDs but it flashes too fast anyway despite installing resistors. So hopefully the relay will fix that.

Bought another door as the other was sagging, new pins didnt help, so hopefully that will be done tomorrow! YAY

And the final job is buying and installing some fuel hose for the filler nozzle. Oh, and a quick job wiring a number plate light.

So for those interested...that's where Im at.

Changed over the temp sensor (block to gauge) but not much difference. I have a feeling the thermostat was removed, as it doesnt get hot-or even warm! Which could also be causing the lack of overdrive/lockup.

Or could be the brake light switch, but waiting on that to arrive and unlikely given the cruise control works.

If I'm way off please let me know...I'd rather be wrong and get it sorted.

Got some wheel guards welded on. (hopeless welding I know).

Once its ticked off by the inspectors, I'll clean it all up and paint it, then put the timber boards on it.

Nice work and good pictures. You've come a long way with this project, can't wait to see it when it's finished.

Thanks GL1500. Also worked on it today and only one job left for the registration check (at least what I think for a pass), which is the flasher relay to install. Should be a 2 minute job once it arrives.

Also changed the oil today, drained and changed the trans fluid and checked the thermostats (which seemed fine). Plus about a dozen smaller jobs.

I swapped the trans fluid but it was really overfull from the previous owner (going by the dip stick). What a fiddly process that is. I've followed the guides but it seems like theres now no fluid, but shows full on the dipstick when idling. I'll keep researching.

Thanks for the replies.

I guess that looks like the last three photos, but I assure you there's progress lol. Also some hubcaps to go on, but will paint the wheels first.
