Nice little motor, and that thing's working well to 60 foot how it does. What is in the plans for the carb swap?
Yeah the 60' awesome! Then it just fails lol as for the carb swap I think we're going for the edlebrock performer rpm intake and not quite decided on carb yet. The plan is to gather parts then tackle it. The fuel pressure regulator is getting purchased this weekend

Good choice on the intake. You'll think it's a different engine when there is a dual plane setup on there. You will have wayyy more midrange and upper rpm power. Possibly even more low rpm power too.

Is it a srrip only car?

I'm thinking Holley, and thinking mechanical secondaries for sure. Do you have carbs to try, maybe from a buddy or something? You're right where a 650 may be too small or a 750 may be too big, depending on where the engine makes power, how much low end you want [to lose], and where the car shifts.

We're actually thinking vacuum secondaries. We're not sure what to do on the distributor yet. Wether to go vacuum or mechanical advance

Vacuum secondaries are for mostly street. Generally speaking, if this car spends a lot of time at WOT, it makes more sense to run mechanical secondaries. All distributors have mechanical advance. Some have both mechanical & vacuum advance. Your typical HEI distributor has both. Your typical small cap/external coil distributors are mechanical advance only.
