Just curious what brake components (brand/model) have worked well for all.
Our 99 K1500 Suburban is due, I've been putting it off as it's not driven often.

Mostly used for highway trips, but may end up with some RV duty.

I was looking at the PowerStop Z36 kit, but I've always shied away from drilled/slotted rotors since they can't be turned..

And I'm not noticing anything unusual with braking to indicate I need new calipers, just some noise right now.

Thoughts?

I use middle of the road parts from my local parts store. Never had an issue, comes with lifetime warranty. I don't buy brake components online. Too hard to return if something happens.

I've been using these guys for my brake stuff.

https://www.r1concepts.com/

I used to go through a set of the oem type jobber rotors about every 8 months.
They just wouldn't put up with my abuse! Lol!
They'd be warped so bad that they were beyond turning.
The ones I bought from R1Concepts have lasted 4 years!
Truck stops shorter, too.
There's several other members here that will also recommend their products.
IIRC, Dagen_1 has recently installed some rotors & ceramic pads from R1. Reports good stuff about them.
