I have a 1992 Silverado. The body is in great condition with the exception of some mild hail damage on the front hood and the clear coat peeling off from the stepside bed. I have been looking for a hood online and looking online at my local junkyards. I was wondering if any 92-98 hood would fit. I noticed that the interior of my 92 is a lot bigger than the interior of my uncle's 95, so im thinking that my 92 could be a bit wider than my uncle's 95 or if they made them differently. Not to sure.

All the GMT 400s, are the same, but,,,,,, it is best to stay close to the same year as yours. As GM stamped the parts, the dies would ware a little, so a 88, may be just a little different from a 98, but they are basically all the same. 92 is no wider than 95. They just changed the interior in 95, and 95 is the only year with that dash, without the passengers air bag. I think the bumper on my 97 comes off of a 90, the hood, a 92, and the fender a 94, but I'm not sure, it's been a while sense I replaced those parts. I did have to space the hood up, tweak the fender, but the bumper was a perfect fit. That is the 3ed hood I have had on the truck. I had a fender bender in 2010. I had the truck repainted in Oct 2013. And last year, the hood popped open while I was doing 50 MPH. We have a salvage yard here that is very cheap, and has a lot of 400s. The hood was maybe $50, but it was like $400 to have it repainted, and yes that was with the strips.

95 is not the only year with the round dash with cup holder, 96 had the same dash as 95
