How does that work if you made you're own trailer? I've owned 2 trailers and both didnt have a weight stamp or whatever. One was home built from C-channel, and the other was mangled so badly that it had to be rebuilt and was titled as a new home built trailer.

I know this is old post but how much do you think the ticket would be for hauling a 1970 c-50 dump truck to the scrap yard?! Lol.

Im sure there is point where theyll make you unload it and find a different way to move it. Probably like 5000 over or something.

They will absolutely park you, I've had it done to me. Not from this state? We don't care, figure it out.

Thats rough lol. Ive never been stopped overweight but ive only been overweighg twice. Once when i had the old mans deckover (4500lbs) with my tahoe on it (4900lbs) for about 17 miles. Then I weighed in at the scrap yard once at like 14,400. When i undloaded and went back across the scale i was a hair over 8600 with a 12' dump trailer.

They parked me once in Tennessee, then told me I had to come back to go to court in 12 days lol.

I don't go to Tennessee anymore.
