Thanks for the comments guys. I guess the biggest reason it has to go is because my work hours go severely cut due to my college schedule, and with having to buy books i can't afford to keep insurance on two vehicles. There's a chance if it doesn't sell by November i may just keep it until i go back to full time in employment in December. That's best case scenario, anyways. Worse case is it sells, and then i have a couple pennies to my name and a couple new experiences. It just hurts a little because of all the time and effort i put into it, and all the plans and dreams i had for it. Thanks again guys.

Eh, if it's just an insurance issue, park it out back, drop the coverage, it'll be there when you have funds again.

Im going to go out on a limb and say Im a bit older than you. If I could give you any advice from what Ive learned through out all the projects Ive done and ive done allot.
Dont sell your stuff . No mater what you matter need . How broke you are . Dont sell your stuff. Itll get better .
If you do sell it you better price it pretty high .

I certainly agree. I don't know your financial status or anything, but as my Dad always says, doesn't cost you a thing to keep it.

Damn I wish my parents followed this motto.
My dad is somewhat like that, as long as everything is organized; my mother is fully against anything like that.

--------

Coming from someone who is going through somewhat the same situation; you'll more than likely regret selling it once it's all said and done; if you can, I would park it and tinker with it as time goes on, save up and tear into it once you've got the time, money, and other resources for it.

My Dad has a 62 Vette and 69 Mustang that haven't seen the light of day since Vietnam, so he's more nostalgic than he would want to admit lol.

That's a really mature way of looking at it. Not sure if you'll break even, or make a little money on it (clearly not going to recover all those hours), but think of it as a free education in all the things you replaced. Next time around, they'll be a breeze. Good luck with sale!

Dont get to down about selling it. I get that this was the first project and all that but there were millions of these made and theyre all over craigslist lol. I dont know your situation but ive bought and sold alot of stuff. Trust me when i say that spagetti os and ramen arent that bad everynight until the next paycheck, especially when you can look outside at a purty truck, car, toolbox or whatever lol.

Edit for tip: crushed ritz are amazing in spagetti os.

I will say this, if the truck isn't what you want, in anyway, then go ahead and punt it.

You learned alot, about what to look for, how to fix it, etc, and that alone has value.

But if you want a regular cab, or 2wd, or 3/4 ton, and this is just the one you could afford at the time, then punt it.

That's the funny thing, Jrgunn5150, it's exactly the truck i want, right down to leather seats. I even love the color, goofy as it seems. The fact i built it with my own hands and my own tools only adds to it.

I've started looking harder for another part time job, so it may get a stay of execution, depending upon how that goes.

Thanks for all the advise, guys. It really helps.

If it is the truck you want, then hold onto it, park it if you have to.
