Well I went ahead and got one of the halos installed in the cubes and sealed up. Though I also separated one of the headlights and they are put together with a more heat resistant sealer so I took a lot longer to get it separated. But just as I thought, I need to slim down the cubes so in retrospect I should've slimmed down the cube before I sealed it up. So I'll do that with the other cube to get them to fit.

Here is me disassembling the headlights and getting them ready for baking and lense removal.

Also, like I expected, the 80mm halos are too big, I need at least 70mm. 69mm would probably be ideal because the space around the projector it just over 69mm but that's not possible without a custom ring. Though a 70mm ring will have a little give like my 80mm rinds did.

Well Monday, September 12, 2016, was exactly 2 years since I got the Yukon. So glad I decided to keep it rather then getting it running and flipping it for something else. Though if I did flip it, it probably would've still been a GMT400... Just a K series and possibly an actual truck not an SUV.

Though like I said, I'm glad I kept it and there is still a LOT of things I have planed for it. One of which is a SAS/4wd conversion, hopefully within the next year if I graduate this Spring and also getting all the parts together.

Well, got a couple more parts in for the Yukon. A billet aluminum locking gas door and a new billet grille without the fog/driving light holes so I can move the GMC emblem to the center of the grill.

As far as working on the headlights, that's somewhat on hiatus since Lightwerkz is out of stock on the 70mm halos so I'll have to wait on them. I can still get the cubes ready though.

Here's the billet gas door.

I also got in the LEDs I ordered a couple weeks ago. They are CREE XHP70 12V LEDs. I will be putting these in my tow mirrors where the reverse/clearance lights are so they will actually be useful as reverse lights. They are super bright, even just testing one.

Now this is just one of the LEDs lit up, and this is also without any type of reflector.

Lighting up my whole room at night with my light out. Might have to order some more and use them for puddle lights in the mirror or something.

Where do you order your leds from?

Which LEDs? I got a lot of different ones from different places. Most of them come from eBay but some I've gotten from Super Bright LEDs, others from other sites.

The ones in instrument cluster and heater controls and the reverse light.

Instrument cluster and heater controls I got from Super Bright LEDs and the reverse lights (and front turn signals) I got I got from formula-j87 on eBay.

Yeah, I'll definitely post about it. Not 100% sure myself the route I am going but I have an Idea. It might have to wait until the end of the year though because I plan to get another set of K2XX mirrors with black or paintable caps, take my Klearz lenses and all the wiring out of my current mirrors and swap the stuff over to the new ones and whilst doing that do the reverse lights.

Then reassemble my old mirrors with some of the old and new parts and give them to my buddy.
