Has anyone here every used one of these?

Reason I want to know is because I have always disliked the over-boosted feeling of the power steering in these trucks.
AGR makes a specific pump claiming that theirs with the reduced pressure greatly improves the out-of-touch-with-the-road characteristics of the stock system.
I've read nothing but good about the improved feel that that provides.
Now if it's just a matter of reducing the pressure, this may be the fix I'm looking for, without the price of the somewhat costly AGR pump.
There's 2 here on Summit.
The first says it's for a GM pump & a Ford rack. Hot Rod stuff. The guys at summit weren't sure, but they felt that it MAY work on a GM/GM set-up.
The second actually says it will work with either.
Only dif I can see is that the 'March' kit comes with a wrench for something or other that requires that tool specifically.
But just for the matter of $8.00, think that the 'March' kit may be the safer than sorry choice.
I've also been reading up on what some guys do as a mod to reduce the pump's pressure.
They cut 1/8" off of the tighter coiled end of the pressure valve's spring.
I'm guessing that they are referring to the spring behind this puck in the lower left corner of the pump.
Again, any experience or even an edumacated guess on this?
Thanks!
Al.D.
