I've been having a problem with my 97 dying. I thought it was my distributor at first because some idiot put a screw in the cap at 45 degrees. Had the issue when I would be parking when it would wanted to die it was like I wasn't getting fuel. Now I have to wait for all the dash lights to come on before I can start it ( kinda like waiting for glow plug). Night I was on my way home and it died about a block from the turn I needed. The pickup will not start in neutral so I had to stop and start it back up. I'm at a loss with this problem if anyone has any input or advice it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Check the basics.... battery voltage : IE is it charging properly? Clean frame, engine and cab grounds.

Fuel pump pressure test would be next after that.
