Hello there ! :)
to begin with, sorry my bad spellings, i'm from sweden. hope u'll understand my probs.
i have done alot of things with the truck. almost everything was out. engine, transfer, bed, and so on..
its a K2500 -1990 6,2. w.turbo:cheers:
My problem is that i get no signal to the cluster, have changed the VSS and the wiring from vss as far as i can measure, is ok ! Have also changed the instrument cluster.
Does anyone know if the brake fuse have something to do with speedo??:33:
because i had to do an own fix with the lights, to get them allright again after putting everything together.
Have struggled with this a coulpe of weeks now, and its the last thing i have to do before i can drive it again.... :rockit:

Little white box behind the glove box next to the ecm. It changes the signal from the sensor to DC volts so the ecm and the speedo know your actual speed.

Don't mean to thread jack but it could possibly be related and is relevant, but my dad's 92 speedometer, trip, and odometer all just went out. Nothing on the 3 moves. Is this electrical or mechanical?

I was just reading about your problem and I remember on my 1990 GMC I had I could disconnect the speedo from the Trans and no signal would be sent to my speedo now on my 1993 GMC it has a electronic Trans so if I disconnect it from the Trans it won't shift gears as the 1990 did maybe yours is disconnected or has a bad connection I'm just sharing about my trucks just so you could know I wish you luck and if you fixed the problem let us know.
